Prinnie Stevens performing during the Divas Series 2 at the Basement 9th June, 2016. Prinnie covered songs by Diana Ross, Alicia Keys and Chaka. She certainly has the perfect voice for it and did them justice! Prinnie was a contestant on the Voice in season 1. Look out for future shows.
Prinnie was supported by the very talented 18 year old Maysa Tippins and she also has a big musical career ahead of her.

Alys Ffion is a very talent Australian singer/songwriter from Queensland and she spends her time there and in Nashville working on her craft. I photographed her at the Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar and was very impressed with her ability as a singer and a songwriter. It’s hard to believe that she is only 20 years old!
She is currently on her Gasoline Tour.
Alys was photographed by me on behalf of Amnplify
My daughter was recently married in Hawaii and while we were there we decided to go on a doors off helicopter flight over the Ohau island with Makani kai Helicopters.
Due to poor weather on the day of scheduled flight it was necessary to reschedule to another day and Makani kai Helicopters were very obliging in assisting us in rescheduling with limited time available.
The weather on the day of the rescheduled flight was great and we had a very smooth flight.
Here are a few of the images taken from the helicopter.
Camden put on a great concert which displayed the many and varied talented artist in the area. I was granted access to photograph the concert on behalf of Amnplify.
The headline act was Pseudo Echo and they were supported by a lot of local performers throughout the day.
Here are a few photos from the day.
Ian Burns released his album “Want to Sing” on the 19th March, 2016 at K Ranch, Mount Hunter. Supporting him on the night were the very talented Paul (Paully)Grierson and Becci Nethery. Ian’s band for the night was Paul Grierson, Nik Downing, Jane Kellaway and Bernie Bruce.
It was a fun night with great music which all the crowd enjoyed.
The bar staff were kept very busy all night of the album launch.
Diana Rouvas has an incredible voice and I try to make sure that I catch all of her Sydney performances. On the 5th May, 2016 Diana performed at the Django Bar accompanied by Eric Aranda, Ricardo Cancino, Skye Elisabeth and Nic James. I photographed the performance for Amnplify.
You can find Diana on her Facebook Diana Rouvas

Having heard that one of my favourite artists, Aimee Francis was heading to Sydney for gig at the Brighton Up Bar I couldn’t miss the opportunity to head into Darlinghurst to catch up with her.
There were two other acts performing on the night and one of the was Ex-Cassette. They were fantastic and I keep playing their latest single, Digital Heart on my Ipod, I only wish that they had more music that I could listen too. Here are a few photos from the night.
I was asked by a fellow photographer and friend to photograph this Melbourne based band on their visit to Sydney. I’m glad that I did as it was great music and I enjoyed the night. The Acolyte are a progressive rock/alternative band and the members are Morgan-Leigh Brown – Vocals, Frank Perna – Guitar, Bcg vocals Jason Grondman – Bass, Bcg vocals Chris Cameron – Drums, Percussion.
You can follow them on their Facebook page Acolyte
I was fortunate to be granted photo access for James Morrison’s Twilight concert at Taronga Zoo. If you haven’t been to one of these concerts you are missing out on a great night of music and one of the best views in the world – the view of Sydney Harbour!
One thing that I like about photographing live music is the opportunity to hear support acts/performers that I would not normally have the opportunity to hear and they are usually great performers in their own right. This night was no exception as James Morrison was supported by two very talented singers in Olivia Chindamo and Liam Budge.
Shot for Amnplify

I was asked by a fellow photographer from Melbourne if I would like to photograph Acolyte, a progressive rock band that she knew from her home town while they were visiting Sydney on a quick tour. I was glad that I agreed to do the shoot for Amnplify as there were 5 bands on the bill and some great music. The gig was at the Bald Faced Stag in Sydney. Here are a few of the photos that I took:
A great afternoon and evening of French Music and cuisine. Well worth attending when they return in 2017.
The music was very entertaining and the artists were Hindi Zahra, Brigitte (Sylvie Hoarau and Aurelie Saada), Lou Doillon and Soviet Suprem (Erwan Seguillon and Toma Feterman). I don’t speak french and even though some of the majority of the songs were sung in french I still enjoyed them, good music is good music in any language.
Thanks to Cartell Music and Amnplify for allowing me to shoot the event.
Aimee Francis single launch “Bonnie & Clyde” at the Lazybones Lounge, Marrickville 7.1.16 supported by James Van Cooper, The Scram, Youthfire and Stellar Addiction.
If you are looking for great night out with music and dancing then make sure you catch one of the gigs by the Toxic Dolls. Plenty of covers of all your favourites from the 80’s through to the present. These photos were taken at Campbelltown RSL in January, 2016. Like their Facebook Page Toxic Dolls Rock to keep up to date with future gigs.
Having photographed Tara Favell in 2014 for her Tamworth promotional photos I was pleased to be contacted again to shoot the cover of her upcoming CD. After discussing ideas and scouting around for a location we decided on the Camelia Gardens at Caringbah. These are beautifully landscaped gardens with lots of paths wandering throughout the gardens.
These are some of the photos that we ended up with on the day.
A few weeks ago Kiara Taylor approached me for another photo shoot as she needed updated photos for her upcoming CD. We were lucky enough to be able to shoot at Camelot Castle in Kirkham and also Mater Dei Catholic School.
It really was a case of Holly Who? for me when I heard that they were performing on the bill at Frankie’s Pizza last Sunday night but not any more. Holly Who are a Newcastle band with a very entertaining show and an infectious style of music. I don’t think that there is anything that they couldn’t perform! As a photographer I love to shoot a band that enjoys performing so much that it is evident to everyone watching them as it is infectious. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future gigs to attend.
The lighting was a challenge so the only option was to process the photos as black & white but I think that it works.
